About the role

We have an opportunity available with a new NDIS independent housing project in Victoria Point to provide onsite support to up to seven residents within the complex during the night should they require assistance.

This role is for 'sleepover' shifts only 10:00pm – 06:00am 1-2 nights per week. You will be provided with a self contained 1 bedroom unit on site with linen etc supplied. Take home $140 per night. Minimal overnight disturbances - no active duties, only emergency support as required. This role would be perfect for someone who works or studies during the day and is looking to earn some extra money. 

The residents within the complex are independent and the purpose of the role is to attend to the residents only when called on via an internal monitor.

As the residents may change over time we are seeking an experienced disability support workers that can use their skills to adapt to any potential challenges as they arise.

Skills and experience

To be a Five Good Friends 'Helper' you require:

  • National Police Check
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Blue and Yellow cards (or willing to apply)
  • Relevant experience with Disability Support and a genuine desire to help others
  • Certificate III in Disabilities/Individual Support or above essential
  • Driver's Licence and own vehicle
  • Your own ABN as an Independent Contractor (or prepared to obtain one)
  • Smartphone (Android 5.1 or later/iPhone 4S or later.)

*Please note that this is not an employee role. We subcontract Helpers who operate under their own ABN, as independent contractors.
